I have been RPing for over 10 years (I'm in my 30s!) within different types of mediums (chats, IMs, forums, etc.). While I don't RP as frequently or as excessively as I used to, I'd still like some rules and boundaries set for when the occasion arises!I live in EST and tend to play more in the evenings of my time. Being born into a tribe lead by a shite of a nunh, L'jhun's life was hell before it even began. Occasionally, children are born with disabilities; L'jhun, himself, was born without sight. The nunh of his time was cruel, viewing these children as "defects", and either running them out of the village when they were still children, or even killing them himself. The mothers of these children would often receive the same fate, if they didn't get a second chance.While L'jhun was about eight summers old, the nunh had chased him out, though not after being incredibly, physically cruel to the child. Jhun knows not what happened to his mother, but curses even her for not protecting him from the abuse. Since then, he refuses to connect himself with any tribe, only going by the tribal L addition of his name for less personal reference.By his mid teens, he had found his way to Ul'dah, getting in much trouble, and attempting to find solace in women. About this time, he'd found and taught himself to find his way around better with a shoddy, make-shift stick, which doubled as protection. The bustling Ul'dah proved a useful training grounds for both guiding and fighting, though quickly got him kicked out within a few years.In his early twenties, he had somehow made his way to Vylbrand, and the city-state of Limsa Lominsa. He couldn't tell you about the boat ride there if his life depended on it, but once in the city-state, he enjoyed life the most. It always smelled like fish, drinks were always available, and the company was just as great.Here, in Limsa Lominsa, he spent a good chunk of his years. He met an older Sunseeker, I'jhay, and later, a younger Moonkeeper, Khees'a. While Jhun spent most of his time with Jhay, drinking, when he wasn't feasting on fish or chasing women. Khees'a was often away on work, but he was always welcome with the older Miqo'te, whenever he was docked in Limsa Lominsa. Jhay had also given Jhun an actual lance to use, still as both his guide and weapon.Nearing his late thirties is around the time the Seventh Umbral Calamity, and the Battle of Carteneau, which he was caught up in due to his closeness with I'jhay. Both had fought hard in the field, Jhun trusting Jhay's movements to guide him to fighting the Imperials until the end. Jhun ended up losing Jhay during the fighting from an intense aetherial flash, and only hopes the old man is still alive and well.After the Battle of Carteneau, Jhun left Limsa Lominsa behind, instead choosing to travel back to the main lands, and ending up in Gridania. Here he tried training a bit more with his lance, though the frustration for having to deal with a Miqo'te that was also blind was too much. Jhun took this as his sign to move on, and north to Ishgard.Initially, he cursed the cold as he travelled north, moreso as he had somehow gotten into Ishgard itself. The temple knights paid him no mind, as he was blind and couldn't possibly cause anyone harm (and would possibly not survive the harsh colds).While in Ishgard, and paid little to no mind, he minded his own business, though eventually overhearing about "trials", and one specifically taking place in the Tribunal. Jhun was able to squeeze his way in, and despite being unable to view such a trial with the common eye, the fierceness of the dark aether used in this fight nearly terrified him. Though the trial would drag on from the one with dark aether, like a monster unwilling to kneel, the beast was finally defeated, and was dragged from the Tribunal.Jhun had followed, for the person who was defeated was all but dead. The temple knights had little care for them, but the fading aether was begging to live - Jhun obliged. Carefully grasping up the body, he quickly went to the conjurers guild he remembered in Gridania years prior, begging for help. He stayed by their side until they were well enough on their own. He learned about them; a dark knight by the name of Fray.Jhun keeps close to Fray nowadays, the young man being occasionally reckless, so he worries for him. He'd grown to trust Fray, as well, not necessarily needing his lance as a guide when he can follow Fray without worry. More recently, Fray has brought in a young lady that Jhun had slowly include as a sort of family. As they had traveled east to Kugane, even Jhun had quickly taken interest in a young lady of his own, Angela.Currently, they have welcomed a little girl into the family, and despite Jhun's lack of sight, still utterly adores his daughter.

A few years younger than L'jhun, L'jac was born and raised in the same tribe, to the same nunh. One would call L'jac the more fortunate of the two, as he was not born with a disability, and was not kicked out or killed for it as consequence. L'jac remembers very little of L'jhun, or any others that shared a similar fate.When L'jac was about seventeen summers old, he left the tribe on his own in order to train to become strong enough to take the village from the current terror that had the place as nunh. Through word of mouth, he found the skills of machinist to his liking, doing hard work in Ul'dah, east of his tribe, in order to save money for his weapon of choice.It didn't take more than a few years for him to build enough confidence in his abilities so that he could return to his tribe and wrest the grasp of the village. He was sure to put the nunh to rest, not unlike many of the tribe the nunh killed. Many of them were relieved of the fact the old nunh was gone, but few were unsure of Jac's intentions.It didn't take long for Jac to change their minds, trying to put ease on them for the idea that how they are born makes them no less a person than the next. He assured that any of their tribe that was run off would be welcome back should they choose.Soon enough, Jac's first child was born, L'kehdo. A couple years later came little L'kaht. While Kehdo grew up showing no symptoms of a disability, Kaht did. In spite of this, Jac dearly loves her, like any of his children. In fact, one might even say a little too much, as he is very protective of his daughter. Jac has raised his few children to be as kind and accepting as himself, so that maybe they will not end up like the old nunh.When his first son, Kehdo was in his mid teen years, Jac had brought a young woman to the village. This woman, K'heetani, had found Jac hunting, and requested to be taught how to use a gun for herself. In return, she would help cook meals for Jac and his children. Much to Jac's (possible) chagrin, he had fallen for her, due to her extra kind behavior toward himself and his tribe, more specifically to Kaht. He'd even suggested she need do nothing in return for his training, but she'd insisted.K'heetani only stayed in the village for a moon before leaving, though not without taking Jac's heart with her. He occasionally wonders if she is alright, and if she has accomplished what it seemed she was looking for.Nowadays, Jac has been following his dear Kaht on her adventures, making extra sure that she is okay. He's even met a few new folk while doing so, Kaht's travel companion, Iche'a, and Kehdo's possible girlfriend, Wenoh. Despite his harsh teasing toward Iche'a, he approves of both of these young folk, and has grown to almost nearly accept them as family.

Long standing nunh of his tribe, I'jhay has been by his people for many years. In his tribe, there are very rare occurrences of taller than average Miqo'te born, regardless of how they're raised. Because of this, the view of guardianship over the tribe is placed on these individuals, usually males, and when there is none to take the place of nunh, the tribefolk will take care of eachother until such an individual is born.This is how I'jhay became nunh of his village, settled on the shores of Gridania, facing the La Noscean isles, taking his role as protector of his people seriously, though with a relaxed state aside. While he was still a young nunh, before even twenty summers, the young Moonkeeper, Tehra, arrived at the village. While she initially didn't catch I'jhay's eye, her overbearing persistence, allowing her close to him, resulting in his loyalty to her, and thus I'thellu soon after.Initially, I'jhay conceded in leaving his tribe, following Tehra to the Shroud for some time with their daughter.
